THE FREEDOM PROJECT
Pastor Miles McPherson - April 29, 2012
-your body is your slave
-it's different to make your heart desire something
-the real issue is not the act, it is the desire that causes those acts
-sin comes from the desires we are enslaved to
-even God has limitations
-being free means you have surrendered yourself to God and He gives you
His desires and puts them into your heart
-You are not your own master, you can't even control your own body
Romans 6
-a person who is spiritually free is a slave to righteousness
Phil 2
-excersise the salvation you have
-live as though you are saved
-God is working in your heart trying to get you to do the right thing
-We sometimes ignore that
1: selfishness
----------------------------------------
-do the will of God and He will give you the desires of your heart
(things He knows is right)
-everyday go on by saying "who can i help?" not "what can i get?"
Eph 4:29
-before you think or say anything ask God "is it going to honor him, is
it going to bless anyone"
-"Give me the desire to say that which builds people up"
-Go on saying "you know what i like about you, ____"
>make that your attitude
-If you critisize everyday, it should be breaking you heart...
because it is breaking God's heart
-If something is breaking God's heart and it is not breaking yours...
maybe your heart and God is not together
2 cor 1:3-4
-God has given you the freedom to let go
-I want freedom from _______
-Sometimes we are scared to do the desires that God wants
us to have

God is not as concerned about purifying your actions as much as purifying
your motivations.

A slave of righteousness is free from sin and death.

Pure motivations can only produce pure actions

Selfish motivation: I am motivated to be better at ______________
than you.

1.         Godly motivation: I am motivated _to invest in others_ by
            ______________.

The Great I Am is evident in what I do.

Selfish motivation: I am motivated to be more affirmed by
            than you.

2.         Godly motivation: I am motivated to _speak life_ into the
            lives of others.

The Great I Am is evident in what I say.

Selfish motivation: I am motivated to possess more ______________
            than you.

3.         Godly motivation: I am motivated to be the _conduit_ of God’s
            blessings.

The Great I Am is evident in what I give.

The Holy Spirit produces the fruit of spiritual freedom in our lives.
